    Welcome back to a new school year!  We hope everyone had a wonderful summer.  We are very excited about the upcoming school year, working alongside our dynamic, creative and talented staff team.  Please feel free to contact us with any questions as we work together toward a successful 2019-2020 school year!

    Please see the following items below for your information:

    • We appreciate your support in reviewing and returning as soon as possible the various forms that your child received today, including a walking field trip permission form (tan coloured page)

    • In addition to the paper forms, there are online items that require your attention:

      • Media Permission Form and Internet Acceptable Use Permission: An email with detailed instructions will be sent to the email address you provided at registration.

      • Register for an account in SchoolCash website - all school and field trip fees will be collected via online payment this year and you must set up an account

      • Student Activity Fee ($15) - supports extracurriculars, athletics, dances, etc. 

      • T-Shirt order (included in Student activity fee for Grade 7s), optional $10 purchase for Grade 8s

      • Optional Daily cold milk delivery program and School Council Hot Lunch options

    To complete these online items, please see the email you received (sent Friday  August 30th at 1:00 pm). If you did not receive, please contact office to ensure we have your email address as we will send most future information electronically.

    • The recommended OCDSB School Supplies list is available on the Board website. Students are asked to bring a reliable combination type lock to secure the locker they will be provided with to store their belongings.

    • Student lates and absences can now be reported via email (absentfpsa@ocdsb.ca). Notifying the school promptly of any lates/absences significantly streamlines Office procedures and is greatly appreciated.

    • Please be aware that some school rules have changed for 2019-20. Students are not permitted to bring personal electronics to class. They should be left at home or in a locker. Grade 7 students must remain on property at all breaks. Grade 8 students must bring written permission from parents if they are going off property at lunch (1:35 - 2:15).

    • Meet the Teacher Night will be held on Thursday September 12th (6:30-7:30 pm); this is your chance to learn more about the school and your child’s classes. We will begin promptly at 6:30 in the Auditorium followed by an opportunity to tour and visit classrooms and meet School Council representatives. The first School Council Meeting is Wednesday September 18th at 6:30 pm in the Library. All are welcome.
